From the beginnings of the church through the Reformation.

This timeline is an attempt to tell the story of the multifacted dimensions in the development of Christianity.  As such, it will attempt to focus on four themes: (1) important theologians and religious writers (2) "sectarianism" and contesting beliefs, (3) theological shifts, and (4) expansion/scope/progression of Christianity.  These are my selections of events and trends, attempting to tell a story, and is thereby not meant to be a comprehensive chronology of Christian development.

These dates are general reference points, and my descriptions will not be limited to these dates.
