Tau Beta Pi 125 Years
Founded in 1885 by Edward H. Williams, Jr., at Lehigh University, Tau Beta Pi is celebrating its 125th Anniversary.
The second oldest honor society was founded "to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as undergraduates in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges."
This timeline details Tau Beta Pi's history and other important landmarks.
Glad to see TBP is still active!
I was a member at Carnegie Tech (Carnegie Mellon) in about 1950-54.
Was chapter President or V-P then.
