Technological advances in Medicine
Throughout the years medical advances have made significant strides. From the invention of the thermometer to the cloning of the first mammal, most all medical advances have done something good for mankind. Though when talking of medical advances, it's not just
the technology itself, such as the steathoscope or the artificial heart. It also pertains to the development of vaccines. A vast majority of vaccinations were developed during the last 2 or 3 centuries, prior to that the founders of medical research laid the ground work by discovering
many disease that are being cured today. Most technological advances have been done by modern medicine in the last couple of centuries. In a way, you can almost look at this timeline as a sloping curve, with achievements being reached in a much higher volume starting in the 1800s. It will be interesting to see if the trend continues as technology continues to improve upon itself, and medical research expands.
