Throughout history there have been many advances in the medical field. There have been evolutions in the way that we look at illness; how it's caused and how it's treated. We have also had many major changes in the way that we view medicine and health as a whole. The way that people have learned about health and medicine, disease, treatment, and prevention has also changed through the ages. This is a brief glimpse of some of the major changes that have occurred through history until the 19th Century.
