Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax, kortweg Ajax, is een Nederlandse profvoetbalclub uit Amsterdam. De club is opgericht op 18 maart 1900 en is een van de drie traditionele topclubs in Nederland. Sinds de oprichting van de Eredivisie speelt de club onafgebroken in deze hoogste divisie. Ajax is over de hele geschiedenis gerekend de succesvolste voetbalclub van Nederland.

Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax also referred to as AFC Ajax, or simply Ajax, is a professional football club from Amsterdam, Netherlands. The club is historically one of the three clubs that dominate the Dutch national football league (Eredivisie), the others being PSV and Feyenoord. Ajax is one of the five teams that has earned the right to keep the European Cup and to wear the badge of honour; they won consecutively in 1971-1973.
