Temporary Steering Committee is set up

Through initiative of CHOICE, a youth group in Denmark working toward the promotion to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and meaningful youth participation internationally, efforts were started to build a European Youth Network on SRHR, that would actively engage young people from Europe on SRHR awareness raising.
A Temporary Steering Committee (TSC) for this new network was set up in July 2003 in Geneva. The TSC consisted of 8 young people from different European countries, who were committed to establish a European Youth Network on sexual and reproductive rights. All members of the TSC were aged between 20 and 25 and had a diverse background in sexual and reproductive health and rigbhts (SRHR); such as peer education, lobbying, advocacy, outreach and research.
